George Washington's Own Recipe for Beer

As an amateur home brewer who makes one awesome amber ale, it's very cool to know I am following another tradition of our Founding Fathers. George Washington was a brewer of his own beer. Coincidentally, the New York Public Library owns the recipe. They are teaming up with the Coney Island Brewing company to recreate Washington's own recipe for public consumption. Should make for an interesting battle against neighboring Boston's Sam Adams.

Unfortunately, the battle isn't going to last long. The agreement only allows 25 gallons to be brewed, which ensures this will truly be a premium brew.
