The moment has finally come; we have had our first look at what in store for us. The new Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 has come out of the shadows and showed us a glimpse of pure bliss. We here at MW3-forum.com and I am sure the whole world have been waiting for some real in game footage, and although we have not seen any multiplayer action the campaign has really shown some greatness.
At the beginning of the premier video we see a grim view of the Hudson River in New York. The visuals are stunning as many building are missile hit and burning, and the presence of a Russian Hind helicopter gives us the knowledge of who is doing this destruction. A few scenes later you are thrown a clip and thrown in the battle. These two men could very well be our new characters Frost and Sandman. The visual display of amazement is matched by the excellent sound effects and soundtrack. As the American scene cuts out we see a submarine opening its missile doors and launching missiles skyward.
The video then cuts to the England teaser animation and fades to hostile action in England. We see many vehicles including a truck and a subway train crashing. Could this be hinting towards more vehicle action this time around? The England Scenes are cut short as we are thrust into France, where yet even more gunfights and explosions are happening. One of the big things I noticed in this section of the video was the presence of a green gas in the air, with men wearing gas masks. With the Call of Duty franchise it would not surprise me since it is the Russians that this could a reappearance of the dreaded Nova Gas. Also I notice maybe the physics may have enhanced for explosions as we see many soldiers flying from blasts from explosives.
Now the battle advances to Germany where we see a tank blowing it way through debris. There may be more rappelling in this edition as well as we see soldiers making their way down a building side. At this time we catch a glimpse of some new aircraft as an A-10 Warthog crosses the sky. This makes plenty of sense because that aircraft main purpose is heavily armored bombings in severely hostile environments. After a pretty significant explosion cut scene we are brought back to American soil for the continuation of the reveal.
The soundtrack is cut into by the voice of no other than Makarov. He may be a villain but his voice is very climatic. We are at this point shown a shadowy figure walking out from smoke and fire. This appears to possible be this Modern Warfare’s hero. As this is happening Makarov is quoted in saying, “It doesn’t take the most powerful nations on earth… To create the next global conflict. Just the will, of a single man.” This is when we see the strong fight of the US and others to push off the Russians. We see footage of Navy SEALS in a flooded tunnel, and the return of the beloved AC-130. After this we see yet again an example of possible vehicles as the camera follows an inflatable running through the Hudson. At the end of the premier we see “WW3” which then is flipped to display “MW3”. This suggests that the battle we are in store for is of monstrous proportions.
Now on to the weapons displayed in the video. They are as follows: MP5A1 used by the SAS,M4A1 as well as a unseen version of the M4, AK47, Famas, and many others that yet to be confirmed.
