John Ashcroft, Father of the Patriot Act, Encourages Americans to Vote for Freedom

I once had a great amount of respect for John Ashcroft. That is until I see how his leadership as Attorney General of the United States led to the current police state in the United States that has destroyed so many aspects of the Fourth Amendment. With this understanding of who Ashcroft it, I find his election day hoorah to encourage voters for freedom a little bit hypocritical.

It is with no doubt, his leadership led to this increase in wire tapping in the name of national security that now labels normal Americans as domestic terrorists and forces women and young children to go to through naked full body scanners at the airport. People need to stop thinking of freedom in terms of Republican and Democrat and start seeing through both parties. Here's Ashcroft's letter:

October 26, 2010

Dear Southwest Missouri Neighbors,

Never before have I felt such an urgency regarding the national character of America as I do today. When our leaders dismiss the WILL OF THE PEOPLE as "ignorance:" when our leaders mortgage our grandchildren's future; when they seek to direct our entire existance, WE MUST RESPOND--WE MUST VOTE--GET OUR NEIGHBORS TO VOTE. Freedom is at stake-America is in the balance as never before.
Please vote. Thanks!

John Ashcroft

Hey thanks Mr. Ashcroft for your contributions to freedom--you know the Department of Homeland Security the TSA, all the rest of the nonsense you helped pushed for under Bush's leadership. Yup, you know a lot about freedom sir.

Mr. Ashcroft just needs to go away, and Republicans need to realize they are just as guilty for killing freedom.
