Prior Reports of Osama Bin Ladin's Death Raises Lot's of Questions Over Obama's Claim

I am troubled that considering a $25 million bounty for the capture or death of Osama Bin Ladin, the United States government quick rid itself of all evidence. Claiming to comply with Islamic traditions, they quickly buried Osama Bin Ladin and the only proof the American people are getting is a obviously photoshopped image of Osama Bin Ladin.

I guess the question that needs to be asked is why does a man who was nearing 60 years of age and who had known health problems including needing kidney dialysis look younger in death than he did in 2001 when the following photo was taken.

It would be so easy to Wag the Dog considering the American people will never see the dead body, as it was quickly buried at sea. The Obama administration says it didn't want to parade the body around like a trophy, but there was a $25 million reward for this trophy.

I guess I am just disturbed by this story. It all seems too easy for political gain. After all, it was George W. Bush who said he and the federal government don't spend all day thinking about how to capture Osama Bin Ladin. With Obama's poll numbers falling, this story is definitely going to give him a boost to begin his reelection bid.

There have been many accounts written over the years that claimed Osama had died. From complications with his kidneys to lung problems, considering Osama Bin Ladin's health, why does he look younger in death than he did when that photo was taken in 2001?

The Pakistan Observer published on Christmas 2001, details of bin Laden's funeral. On the front page, the newspaper reports that an unnamed Taliban leader said bin Laden "had a peaceful natural death in mid-December in the vicinity" of the Tora Bora mountains. The report says that his death was the result of a "serious lung complication." "He was laid to rest honorably in his last abode" in a grave prepared according to the beliefs of the fundamentalist Wahhabi sect of Islam to which the Qaeda leader belonged, the report says.

His kidneys obviously gave him problems less than a year later. Then Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf says that Osama bin Laden might have died of kidney failure in Afghanistan after becoming separated from a dialysis machine he had used in recent years.

Now obviously, the reports of his death are questionable all across the board--even Obama's claim. It was well known Osama Bin Ladin wasn't the poster child of good health. So how is it Osama looks so much younger in his death photo? It definitely gives you something else to consider when looking at what is on the line for Obama.
