A large group of Americans are having problems digesting the federal government's official story of how Osama Bin Ladin died. I was on the Super Dave radio show last night expressing my concerns about the the tall tale the Obama administration delivered as now they politicize the death of Osama for political gain. Super Dave as well has noticed the contradictions and other problems in the ethos and pathos of what the Obama administration is telling us.
First, and liberals should ask this too as they supported Obama early in his presidency, why is it Obama didn't want Osama Bin Ladin to have the same trials that they attempted to carry out with other Al Qaeda GITMO detainees. The Obama administration clearly fought for the rights of these GITMO detainees as if they were American citizens--"WE THE PEOPLE" included names like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. Considering Obama's past ethos, why did Obama play judge and jury and not demand Osama be captured alive to face trial?
Of course there was the fact that Obama would rather honor Islamic traditions and he quickly buried Osama Bin Ladin out to sea. No evidence of his body now exists. We just have to trust what the Obama administration tells us, and this is coming from the promised most-transparent president ever who has proven once again in these matters not to be very transparent.
As news broke, the stories changed as well--missile attack, to drone attack, to Navy Seals. Why did the story change? Did they think late Sunday night we would be more upset Obama interrupted the Apprentice to give his "I" speech (He said I 11 times in 9 minutes never once thanking George W. Bush) to notice the changes.

Yes, America's BS meters are rising. Here's some thoughts I have seen from other people:
You really believe this folks? Like last night as initially reported By the military he was killed last week in a missle attack and they had been holding his body awaiting DNA testing, then the story as reported BY the military changed later in the night to he was killed by Navy S.E.A.L.S. just last evening Pakistani time. I was up 'till 4am watching ALL the news channels The military doesn't know how they killed him or when? Really? What's the real story? Which is the truth? Can't be both, folks, it just plainly can't be, and why would they afford the body all manner of proper muslim burial rites but then dump his body in the ocean, instead of returning it to his family, in accordance with traditions. Beacause it's not him folks, it's just not him... We got a President with numbers in the toilet and they're still falling. "It's the economy stupid" is an old political saying, and ours is dying and it's not going to get better soon. This is just what Obama would need a probable 20 point boost to his approval numbers to get his political ass out off trouble to make people forget about $5 a gallon gas in places that's still rising by the day, rising inflation and food prices, nearly 10 trillion dollars added to the deficit in two and a half years with nothing to show for it, and unemployment barely budging even though hundreds of thousands of landscapers, roofers, roadworkers, and construction workers are off the unemployment rolls and back on company payrolls already. Look at the big picture, ladies and gentlemn, something smells foul here folks and it isn't because you didn't wash your face this morning...
Our government would lie? LOL Can you imagine them planning this in the back room? Hell, it would have been hard enough believing this with the Bush Administration but I wouldnt believe this Administration to save my life!
If bin Laden had actually been found, why would he be killed and not captured? Why wouldn’t he become a prime target for interrogation? Why make him a dead martyr? Wouldn’t it potentially save lives to talk to the man?

Can Obama be that out of touch with how people think? If he is not and this is intentional, then this already looks like a phony happening. The body should have been on display. Many reporters and witnesses should have been called in. Where are the witnesses? Are there at least five independent persons who can visually verify the event? Who did these DNA tests? How were they conducted? Where are the independent verifications of that? Was DNA of bin Laden stored away somewhere? Why aren’t these details reported in full? Since when is assassination legal? He was never charged, nor tried in a court of law. Guess it's OK for our officials to just kill people and call it the 'war on terrorism".
So, when will be introduced to the ones that killed him? Oh, thats right, its secret. At least we saw Huessien and how he got hanged.
As I have said seemingly so many times today, not detracting from our great spec ops teams, where is the proof? The timing of this looks really suspect..... 18 months before an election, and just after the birth cert appears, so is presbo going to find Elvis next? This appears to be on the face of it nothing more than political posturing in readiness for the election
What I find funny is if Bush were still the man many of the same people questioning it now who be lauding *W* as a HERO..
As a former special OPs one need not reveal anything about the team or the mission to show proof of the deed.

There are conflicting stories about Obama's orders and those who carried them out.
As a progressive who largely monitors these feeds because it amuses me, let me say that your distrust of government heartens me. On the flip side of that coin I have to ask where all that cynicism was during the entirety of the previous administration?
