It was information that was obtained through the harsh interrogation methods used at GITMO that led to the death of Osama Bin Ladin. It's quite ironic, don't you think, that Barack Obama looks like a hero today all because of information received from Khalid Sheikh Mohammed during water boarding and other interrogation that Obama ordered to stop.
The mainstream media tried to sell the American people on the idea that American officials were receiving no valid information from detainees at GITMO who were water boarded. The Obama administration tried to make out GITMO stationed military members out to be the bad guys. It does make me sick, considering what many of them went through as the president showed no confidence as today he celebrates and takes credit for Osama Bin Ladin's death.
ABC News writes:
The revelation that intelligence gleaned from the CIA's so-called black sites helped kill bin Laden was seen as vindication for many intelligence officials who have been repeatedly investigated and criticized for their involvement in a program that involved the harshest interrogation methods in U.S. history.
"We got beat up for it, but those efforts led to this great day," said Marty Martin, a retired CIA officer who for years led the hunt for bin Laden.
The Obama administration says that the harsh interrogation methods didn't lead to the information, but of course they are going to deny that as they celebrate in order to keep from looking silly.
Terrorists don't have the same rights as Americans unless they are American citizens. If they did, Obama would have ordered the capture and not the kill order for Osama Bin Ladin so he could face trial. As well, the Navy Seals would have had to carry out a search warrant as the Fourth Amendment requires. Obviously that didn't happen either. So the next time you hear Obama claim the terrorists have the same rights as the citizens of the United States, consider these things.
