2011 Flood Update: Finley River, Ozark, Missouri

The rains keep coming and the river keeps rising. When I first filmed the flooding on the Finley River, there was about two to two and a half feet between the river and the bottom of the bridge. In a little over an hours time, the river has now risen that clearance and is now skimming the bottom of the bridge.

Ozark emergency crews have taped off the bridge to keep pedestrians off of it as Empire Electric crews are in the area monitoring the damage.

The old Ozark mill has been breached as water is pushing up against once of the structures, which probably isn't going to make it much longer as water floods the inside of the old mill. Here is a video taken about approximately 9:00 this morning.

Southwest Missouri is expected to get another three to four inches of rain.
