Billy Long Seems Awfully Worried About Redistricting Map Considering Campaign Quote

Candidate Billy Long once said on the campaign trail, too many politicians in Washington, DC spend too much time worried about getting reelected. Congressman Billy Long seems to spend most of his time worried about getting reelected, whether its running from tough questions from reporters and constituents, to controlling pseudo town hall meetings hosted on the telephone rather than a town hall, to his constant fund raising, to even his intense observing of the redistricting map in Missouri. Let's not forget, Billy Long began his reelection bid without a congressional record just nine days after getting elected.

Rumor has it Will Lynch may challenge Billy Long in the Republican primary next year. Lynch has pointed out Long's hypocrisy between what he said on the campaign trail and his current focus of reelection. Long spends so much time at fund raisers and other reelection efforts that he doesn't have time to join the Tea Party Caucus despite making the case he was "Tea Party before Tea Party was cool."

Lynch noticed that Long was the only Congressman from the state of Missouri who tweeted about redistricting.

No other Missouri Congressman felt the need to comment on the redistricting map, just Billy Long: http://goo.gl/kSdcE I'm getting fed up!

Remember, Long attacked politicians who go to Washington and focus on getting reelected, but Long, who's district is probably the safest Republican district in the state of Missouri obviously seems a little worried about reelection. I guess Long isn't smart enough to figure out the challenge he faces will come from a Republican who is fed up of Billy Long--not a Democrat. Although, Mel Hancock nearly lost to a Democrat once. By the way, you have to wonder if Mel Hancock is fed up with Billy Long.

Long was reported in Jefferson City last week, obviously to influence the outcome of the redistricting map. Further showing Long is a hypocrite when it comes to his reelection statement. Let's look at what inspired Lynch's tweet. Long's tweet is interesting to say the least.

Missouri finally has a Congressional Redistricting Map passed by the House & Senate #ThatWasEasy #CanYouSayVeto #Override

Notice the tags Congressman Long uses. #ThatWasEasy followed by the complicated process of the veto and overriding the veto. Easy?
