Billy Long is on Twitter tonight, which means he isn't reading the legislation he promised to read before voting or working to complete his congressional Web site. Long tweets tonight about Obama and the birth certificate:
"And for his next Act" - Now that he found his Birth Certificate can he find a copy of The Constitution?
If there is a man in America who probably shouldn't be trying to hold someone up to a Constitutional standard it's Congressman Billy Long. During the first week of his tenure as Missouri's Seventh District Congressman, Billy Long seems to have forgotten the First Amendment gives his critic the right to speak up. Long's own disregard for the Constitution saw him hand over an enemies list to the FBI and saw to it his most vocal critics were investigated and intimidated.
If I were you Mr. Long I would work on getting your own grasp of the Constitution before worrying about others. It starts by realizing freedom of speech is one of our core liberties--like it or not Congressman Long.
