Billy Long Admits to the Joplin Tea Party He is Scratching Other Peoples' Backs in DC

Billy Long admitted in front of an obviously clueless Tea Party crowd in Joplin that he has been scratching other peoples' backs in DC. The sad thing is they cheered. First before we get to the audio, let's recall Billy Long's promise.

So Long is at the Joplin Tea Party talking about how the Republican leadership hates him. I haven't figured this one out yet because Long has done exactly what the Republican leadership has asked him to do with the the exception of his votes to shut down the government. As Long finishes this rant, we get some insight to they hypocrisy of Billy Long as he tries to make a joke about an article in the Joplin Globe about Long's push for a National Auctioneer Day. Let's listen to Billy Long.

Did you hear that? The National Auctioneer's Association asked Billy Long to drop a bill in the House of Representatives--which means to sponsor and introduce a bill. Now let's look at some facts about this bill. Here's Congressman Long on the House floor last week dropping the bill.

Now, if you go through Congressman Long's Federal Election Commission reports, you will see the National Auctioneers Association PAC donated $5000 to Billy Long's campaign. So it appears to me, Congressman Long owed them a favor, which means he scratched a back in DC even though he promised Southwest Missouri he wouldn't play that game. The really sad thing about this is, he admitted to the Joplin Tea Party he is playing politics as usual in DC, and they cheer. This is why things will never change in Washington DC. People don't listen and pay attention, and that's evident with the attendees at the Joplin Tea Party where Long admitted he did a special favor for a special interest group who donated to his campaign.
