Billy Long to Propose Mini Golf Recognition Day in Congress

In another act of self-promotion, BBCW has learned Billy Long is considering proposing a national day of observance for the nation's mini golf courses. Long, who under lobbying influences (campaign donations), took the floor last week of the House to beg Congress to recognize National Auctioneers Day followed less than eight hours later with National Golf Day.

Long, who has suffered for thirty years with narcissism, felt left out of National Golf Day despite promises from the golf lobby of a campaign contribution, which you can see in the video below. Long, who gets winded just walking to the podium on the House floor, hasn't been able to walk to the third hole of an 18 hole course in years, and often spends time day dreaming back to the good 'ol days when he ran a mini golf course business.

So not to feel left out, in honor of another one of Billy Long's achievements, Long will propose National Mini Golf Day on the House floor sometime this week. We have some talking points Long will use in his speech.

* Like the auctioneer business which accounts for $25 trillion in business a year, the mini golf industry is a cornerstone of the economy of Missouri's 7th District creating over $150 billion in income a year.

* Branson, Missouri has over ten mini-golf courses alone creating thousands of jobs for Long's home district.

* You can get an amazing amount of exercise walking a mini golf course--I know. I get winded just reaching for my putter.

The Putt Putt Golf Corporation and Branson's Mini Golf PAC are rumored to be considering making huge campaign donations to Congressman Long. We are also hearing Long has been studying the list of his campaign donors and may soon recognize them too with national days in the coming weeks.
