Billy Long Launches Reelection Campaign 9 Days After Election: Didn't He Say Politicians "more worried about getting reelected" Than Anything Else?

Billy Long, the I am "not a career politician" and we should send "citizen legislators and not legislator legislators" to Washington candidate, launched his reelection bid last night when his campaign sent an e-mail to Missouri State University's political science department asking for interns for his reelection bid. Mind you, Long was only elected to Congress just nine days ago on the promise he wasn't and wouldn't act like a career politician.

Without even beginning freshman orientation for new Congressmen, Long is already putting his 2012 campaign into motion. Needless to say, like so many things that surround Billy Long, there is already controversy with Long moving so quickly to begin focusing on reelection.

Will Lynch, a former Republican staffer and Mizzou law student with an Abraham Lincoln beard from Joplin, is calling Congressman-elect Billy Long a hypocrite on Twitter. Lynch claims Long said during one of the major campaign events that politicians are "more worried about getting reelected" than anything else. Lynch has called out for people to find the sound bite.

Lynch himself also tweeted in regards to Long's reelection efforts, "There'll be a primary if I have to run myself..." I have been saying, there are a lot of Republicans out there that already are looking past Billy Long and hope to make him a one-term Congressman.

Lynch 2012 anyone?
