KSPR Reports Billy Long's Worth-Nothing Auction Company Billy Long Auctions May be Sold to Long's Partner

Billy Long told KZRG his auction company would be worth nothing without him there to conduct auctions. He even said the sign would be worthless. That hasn't stopped one man from supposedly wanting to buy it, if he hasn't bought it already according to rumors circulating in auctioneer circles.

KSPR reports Billy Long's long-time partner Vice President of Billy Long Auctions Bob Kollmeier is the front runner in the deal for the auction company that Long says is worth nothing.

"A veteran of 28 years, if that were to take place, I think you could expect the company would run very similarly to the way billy did it because he knows the drill." says Jeff Olson.

Kollmeir says he hasn't had much time to think about the buyout.

This makes this all the more interesting. You see, if you listen to the interview above, Billy Long attempts to make himself out to be this great sacrificer for Southwest Missouri. In fact, Billy Long plays a victim of House rules, but considering what KSPR is finding out, it's very likely that all Bob Kollmeier is doing is putting his name on the deed, sort of a blind trust, until Billy Long returns from Washington DC. Therefore, any sacrifice Long promised was just softened by the other portion of the Congressional law that Long doesn't talk about, but the Springfield News-Leader mentioned in passing.
