Fox News Lists the Most Important Issues Facing the New Congress: FEDERAL DEBT IS NOT LISTED

It's been said many times, the greatest threat to the United States is the growing federal deficit. Just the interest payments along is redistributing large amounts of American wealth to China and Japan, and from what I see, both parties aren't ready to tackle it--not even these new Republicans. Remember, they want to turn back spending levels to 2008 which created another $450 billion in federal debt.

It appears Fox News, a supposedly conservative news source, isn't going to help push the issue of reducing federal debt. Fox lists the most important issues facing the new Congress, and federal debt is not listed.

Here's what they list:

Social Security age

Offshore drilling

Campaign finance law

Ethanol and biofuel subsidies

Public broadcasting funding

Eminent domain

Congressional pay/freezes

Afghanistan withdrawal

Nuclear power

GAY MARRIAGE (yes conservative Fox News lists this as an important issue the new Congress faces, although there is no Constitutional authority for the federal government to legislate marriage.)

Whistle blower protections

Arms reduction treatys

That's the list. Did you see federal debt reduction? It's not there--kind of like separation of church and state in the Constitution.

Guess what. One of the first pieces of legislation the new Congress faces is a vote to raise the debt ceiling. We are nearing the current limit, and this will obviously show us the new Congress's true colors.
