John Boehner, a committed pledger to America, is already breaking his Pledge to America. The Pledge to America reads:
“We pledge to honor the Constitution as constructed by its framers and honor the original intent of those precepts that have been consistently ignored – particularly the Tenth Amendment, which grants that all powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.” (p. 3)
Here's John Boehner speaking after last Tuesday's election talking about going to Washington to fix things.
Fix entitlements? You mean those unconstitutional federal safety nets which Congress had no Constitutional authority to create? Geez. Boehner is already breaking the Pledge to America and he isn't even the Speaker yet. Nowhere in the Constitution will you see the federal government has the authority to create these entitlements. NOWHERE, not even the General Welfare clause. Read Federalist 41 if you don't believe me.
I told you this Pledge to America to follow the Constitution was a joke. Just in printing the following text after this part of the pledge showed how little the Republicans are concerned with returning to Constitutional conservatism.
