Ron Paul for Speaker of the House! After hearing John Boehner ramble on about how he is going to fix unconstitutional entitlements, I have to say, I am on board. Boehner will be a huge mistake, and it's obvious his leadership doesn't isn't ready to make the necessary cuts needed to make necessary cuts in the National Debt. His Pledge to America only rolls back spending to 2008 levels, you know, when Nancy Pelosi controlled the House. It also promises more power to the Department of Homeland Security. I am not impressed.
So surfing on Facebook this evening awakened me to a movement to elect Ron Paul as Speaker of the House. I know it will probably never happen as Boehner has been the chosen one for months, which I find is just sad, but at least people are aware of what Boehner really represents.

Text from the Facebook page reads: Lets make it loud and clear! We want Dr. Ron Paul to be Speaker of the House. Let's have freedom for a change.
Let's get true hope for change in Congress! We want Congressman Ron Paul as Speaker of the House of Representatives!
In the wake of this financial destruction, it's clear that our country needs a leader who understands the economic forces that led us into this situation.
We need a leader who understands the economic forces that effect our economy - a leader who understands that LESS government is the answer, not MORE - a leader who understands what taking an oath to uphold the Constitution really means - a leader who understand the vision of the Founding Fathers to provide liberty and prosperity for ourselves and our posterity.
We all know the Congressman that embodies those qualities best!
Thanks Dr. Paul for being our Champion of the Constitution for so many years now let's make him Speaker of the House!
Catch the vision folks -- we take back Congress in 2010 and select the leadership! We have some emerging trends which will work to our favor in this cause. Let's make this vision a reality. It starts by sending people who will keep their oath of office to Congress in 2010.
One, Ron Paul is gaining a lot of support from Congress in his pursuit of The Fed. If he is able to get The Fed audited and exposed, he will become quite popular and powerful very quickly.
Second, we've got the growing number of Ron Paul-type candidates, such as Adam Kokesh, Peter Schiff, Rand Paul, and BJ Lawson. This number will continue to grow.
Third, a lot of voters on the Democrat and Obama side are getting very disenchanted with the Democrats in Congress. The stimulus plan and the healthcare bill made a lot of voters mad. They will remember their disappointment come election time.
Finally, we've got the Blue Dog Democrats, who appear to be stepping up to the plate.
The four of these trends working together could certainly help us displace many of the career politicians in DC next year. If they are replaced by true conservatives and Liberty lovers, such as Adam Kokesh, Rand Paul, RJ Harris (and many more preparing to run now!) then our chances of getting Ron Paul made Speaker and returning Congress to the body intended by our Founding Fathers are VERY, very strong.
Thanks for your help!
