The biographies are being written to introduce America to the newly elected men and women who will make up the 112th Congress. CQ Politics just launched their Billy Long biography. It has a couple things to note.
It first says Billy Long ran claiming to be fed up of career politicians but will prove to be dependable vote for the GOP leaders. In other words, like I have been claiming, Billy Long will bow down to the same career politicians he claimed to be fed up with. Nothing new here, as the article cites his inexperience.
The next to last paragraph did get my attention, and reading it, it's obvious Billy Long's handlers are still speaking for Billy.
Long also is a strong proponent of free trade, saying the opening up of new markets is essential to growing the economy of his southwest Missouri district. He wants to eliminate “obsolete” agricultural subsidies, but is not specific on which ones qualify as obsolete.
You know, the same free trade Billy Long had no clue about in a video released earlier this week by Sarah Steelman.
Don't you have to know what free trade is before you can truly be a proponent?
