A 2010 Exit Poll Question that Could Expose How Ignorant Voters Are in 2010

There will be many questions asked of voters as they leave the polls after recording their votes. There is one exit poll question that I hope gets asked this election cycle, but I doubt the numbed minds at media sources like the Springfield News-Leader gave much thought to it. It's obvious they didn't report it.

Two years ago, conservative voters became outraged by these things called bailouts. They started with the banks and led to car companies and other entities as well including bailouts for unions. Surprisingly, there are many Republicans whose fingerprints are on these bailouts. We call these Republican deceptiCONS.

With that said, the two question I wish was asked of voters leaving the polls is did you favor the bailouts and who did you vote for. I think it would be interesting to see the correlation between those who didn't favor the bailouts but voted for Republicans who supported any form of bailout.

For instance, here in Missouri, Roy Blunt claims to be a conservative, yet he pushed the banker bailout known as TARP. If you didn't approve of the bank bailouts and voted for Blunt what was your reasoning?

Another candidate in Missouri is Billy Long. While he wasn't an incumbent, he ran an anti-bailout campaign claiming to be fed up with wasteful spending in Washington including bailouts. Yet, an examination of his campaign finance reports show that General Motors, a bailed out company that still owes taxpayers billions and is 61% owned by the government, donated to this fed up with bailouts candidate through their PAC? I guess Billy Long wasn't fed up enough with the bailouts to know better than to take their campaign money, right.

It just seems like voters either don't care or just don't take enough time to educate themselves. This is why Tea Parties can't quit the fight just because there is a transition of power tonight. They must be vigilant because this transition of power already comes with questionable characters ready to lead.
